So far so good the only complication I have had was finding a place for an oil change and a place to ditch the trailer so I could get it done. This seemed like a near impossible task and the ladies house that I parked in front of was not very happy about the trailer being there but it was already un-hitched. I manged to get it changed and re-hitched in under 40 minutes and she pleasantly waved good bye. I wounder if she stood there in her lawn the whole time?
I find that the joy of driving cross country quickly wears off when towing a trailer that is 30′ long by 8′6″ wide. Especial on the wonderfully maintained roads of Chicago. After 1827 miles of driving, numerous hotel rooms and one on-water demo I’m in one of my favorite towns of all times… Sort of. I would much rather be in the heart of Denver but I guess the outskirts on Colfax Ave. will have to do for this trip.
All that stands between me and a day at the beach is another 1027 miles, the Rockie Mountains, Sin City, and the Mojave Desert oh and some forest fires ravaging southern California. Till then!
